Photo friend weddings. This is one of those posts that could easily end with, “I guess you had to be there”, so I’ll refrain from the details of our college antics. El is the daughter of a very special friend from our days at Syracuse University. Days filled with photo lab banter, Denny’s pie, late nights and later mornings. This wedding day was 20 years in the making. Our friend Mark is a fancy professor of photojournalism now. When he invited us to shoot such a special day, we did what we had to do — hopped on a plane, and braced for impostor syndrome overload. What emerged was what always seems to — authenticity, love and a party buzzing with warmth. We are grateful for El and Sara’s Live Wire Athens Wedding, and the easy-going vibration of their day, but most of all for life-long friendships that keep us grounded in who we are and where it all started. :-)
