Vermont Wedding Photographers I Two brides share their first dance at The Ponds at Bolton Valley.

They do not simply take pictures, they capture elements, personalities and intimacy. Through the process of getting to know you as a couple, Joe and Katye learn who you are, how you interact and the idiosyncrasies that create the foundation of your relationship, and display your essence through their photojournalistic approach. When looking through your album, you will notice the tiny moments, gestures, smiles, embraces, laughs, funny faces that are caught and woven together, as you relive every emotion of the day. Thank you so much Katye and Joe for your incredible talent, kindness and support. We are forever grateful!

The pictures look absolutely STUNNING. So many amazing moments, captured exactly as we were looking for, in the moment. Thank you both so much for being so flexible, and doing such an awesome job helping us tell the story of a very special day, you killed it!

As a journalist and photographer myself, I was relatively picky ... We wanted someone who could take an amazing pictureS in the camera and wouldn’t rely on post-processing to create whatever style is “in” right now. I stumbled upon The Happy Couple on a DC Wedding Blog and several of their photos moved me to tears! They are both trained in photojournalism and it shows in their ability to see small, sweet moments and capture them beautifully. They are also so much fun to be around! After my fiancé and I met with Joe, we canceled our other photography interviews because we had so much fun talking to him, we knew he was the type of person we would want to be around on our wedding day! They made the process incredibly easy and even let us add a few extra hours to our contract just weeks before the wedding when we realized our timeline was getting too tight. Even when things got a bit crazy right before we had to head down for photos, Katye was incredibly calm and got so many amazing photos.
